Binary updates are updated versions of the OpenSSL, LibSSH, and srsslinit binaries included with ECL. These updates contain upstream security and bug fixes that became available after the ECL package was released, or fixes that could not be included in the original release.
The filename of each update identifies the ECL version(s) and bitness (32-bit or 64-bit) for which the binaries are intended.
The help file identifies the location of the binaries that must be replaced.
Do not apply an update to an ECL version or bitness other than those specified by the update.
Ensure that LabVIEW is not running before replacing any binaries.
You may need Administrator privileges to replace the binaries.
Download the ZIP file corresponding to your ECL version and bitness.
Extract the ZIP file to a temporary directory.
Back up the existing ECL binaries to a separate location. This allows you to restore the original binaries if necessary.
Close LabVIEW if it is currently running.
Copy the updated binaries from the temporary directory to the ECL root directory.
When prompted, choose to overwrite the existing binaries.
Start LabVIEW.
The updated binaries use the same binary interfaces as the versions distributed with the ECL version indicated. No changes to LabVIEW are required.
If you encounter any problems while installing or using the updated binaries, contact Support using the email address provided in the help file.
